Trilling Recorder

Wondrous item, uncommon

When used to play a short scale or pattern of notes as an action, the trilling recorder imprints a distracting and eerie melody into the minds of creatures within 30 feet for as long as you concentrate on continuing to play. Creatures other than you have disadvantage on Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration on their spells (or any other ability that requires similar concentration). In addition, if a creature you can see and hear within 30 feet attempts to cast a spell with a verbal component while you are playing the trilling recorder, as a reaction you can play a dramatic and distracting flourish that requires that creature to succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or their spellcasting is ruined without effect, wasting the spell slot. This ends the effects of your playing.

A trilling recorder can be played up to 10 rounds per day.

After this, its song loses its power until the next dawn.
