Wand of Burning Flames

Wand, uncommon (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

This wand has 5 charges. When you cast a spell that deals fire damage while holding it, you can expend 1 charge as a bonus action to cause the flames to erupt on the bodies of one creature that fails its saving throw against your fire spell. These flames persist until the end of your next turn, and during this time the burning creature is outlined in flames as if you had cast faerie fire and also takes 1 point of fire damage for every die of fire damage your spell dealt when it was cast.

If your fire spell affects multiple creatures or an area, you can affect additional creatures as part of the same bonus action by spending 1 additional charge per creature.

The wand regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn, though it must be thrust into a burning fire for at least 1 minute in order to regain those charges. If you expend the wand’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand explodes into a burst of bright sparks and is destroyed.
