Wand of Negation

Wand, very rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

This wand has 3 charges. While holding it, you can expend 1 of its charges to make a ranged spell attack against a target in the form of a pale gray beam. If the attack hits, you may choose one item worn or wielded by the target. If that item has magical properties, they cease to function for 1d4 rounds. If the item is non-magical, the effect is wasted. Alternatively, you may choose to target the whole creature, in which case the beam affects one random magical item wielded by the target ceases to function for 1d4 rounds. On a critical hit, you can affect two magic items (either selected by you or random, as above).

Very rare and legendary magic items are unaffected by a wand of negation, as are artifacts.

The wand regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand crumbles into dust and is destroyed.
