Wand of Souls

Wand, rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

This stone wand has 3 charges. While holding it, as a bonus action you can determine whether undead are within 30 feet, and you can examine one creature or corpse within 60 feet of you is alive, dying (at 0 hit points and making death saving throws), dead, or undead. As an action, you can stabilize a dying creature by touch.

You can expend 1 charge from the wand as a bonus action when casting a spell that deals necrotic damage. This spell deals normal damage to undead, bypassing any resistance or immunity to necrotic damage.

In addition, if a spell you cast kills one or more creatures, as a reaction you can expend 1 charge from the wand to draw forth their souls temporarily to fight for you. The slain creature(s) must have previously been alive and had at least 10 Hit Dice. Their souls arise and surround you as if you had cast spirit guardians, departing to their final rest when you cease concentrating on the spell.

The wand regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the wand’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand crumbles into grave dust and is destroyed.
