Wardshatter and Spellsplinter

Weapon (pair of handaxes), legendary (requires attunement)

These solid metal hand axes crackle with arcane energy. The story of the Death Cloud’s betrayal and imprisonment was etched into the blades in Giant after Ahjbørn was defeated.

These twin handaxes only function when both are wielded together and grant a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls you make with these weapons. On a hit with either weapon, the target takes an extra 1d6 force damage.

Wardshatter: When attuned, you can use your reaction to strike a ward, rune, or other inscribed spell (such as symbol) with wardshatter, absorbing its energy. The absorbed spell’s effect is canceled, and the spell’s energy is dispersed without effect. Once you have absorbed 9 levels of spells in this way, you may not absorb another spell in this way until you complete a long rest.

Spellsplinter: When attuned, you can use your reaction to gain advantage on a saving throw against a spell or other magical effect or give disadvantage to a spell attack made against you. Once you have used this feature, you cannot do so again until you complete a short rest.
