Winter’s Flakes

Winter’s flakes resemble small oddly-shaped sling bullets. They are long and tapered at both ends. They are a bluish-white in color and very heavy. When cast or shot, they leave a streaking blueish trail of light.

If a target is successfully struck by an attack with a winter flake, ranged attacks against that same target for the next minute gain a +2 bonus.

Ice Trap

A winter flake can also be placed on the ground as a trap.

Once placed, it is invisible and undetectable. A creature that moves into or through, that same spot, are suddenly struck by an intense, bitter cold. They take 1d6 points of cold damage and end their movement in that space.

Once unleashed, the pellet is destroyed.

There are usually 2-8 of the pellets in a bag.
