Zero Blaster

Weapon (energy pistol or rifle), very rare (technological)

A zero blaster fires a beam of freezing particles at high velocity, dealing cold damage to anything it strikes. Any creature critically hit by a zero pistol ray must succeed at a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or lose 10 feet of movement from the cold for 1 minute. A zero rifle’s beam is even more potent, requiring the same saving throw on any hit (though the effect lasts only 1 round if it is not a critical hit).

Zero Pistol. Damage 2d6 cold; Weight 2 lbs. Range 40/80; Properties reload (10 shots)
Zero Rifle. Damage 3d6 cold; Weight 6 lbs. Range 80/240; Properties reload (20 shots), two-handed
