Alfar

The alfar are quite similar to elves in traditional fantasy campaigns. They are much more alien in personality, acting on seemingly random whim, doing as they please. They live in mounds and barrows, where, just beyond Midgard, they live in a parallel realm with their own homes and families.

Darkness In The Light

There are two subspecies of elves in Viking Adventures, the ljosalfar and dokkalfar. Both appear similar with one important distinction in that the ljosalfar are very pale and the dokkalfar have skin color in shades of gray.

Warriors Of The Heavens

Ljosalfar appear as tall humanoids with blue or gray eyes and blonde hair of varying shades. Their expressions are reserved and their clothing choices elegant but understated.

They organize themselves into houses and pride themselves on their lineage. Dokkalfar dress in blacks, blues, with gold and silver edging.

Lovers of Beauty

Both species are fond of art and beauty, but dokkalfar have a preoccupation with the grotesque and morbid. Ljosalfar prefer to keep themselves apart from mortals while dokkalfar will not hesitate to sully themselves with contact.

Alfar Names

Alfar names include Volundr, Wayland, Weyland, W?land, Velentr, and Galand.
