The average arimaspos is a brute with a single eye in the center of its forehead. Arimaspoi were born of the union of Poseidon and a nymph named Thoosa.

Narrow View, Narrow Thought

Arimaspoi are extremely self-centered and narrow-minded, perhaps a result of their monocular vision. They are prone to fits of violence and the first to whine about the unfairness of their plight should they be wounded.

Arimaspoi are an uncivilized people whose society consists solely of hunters and herders. They live in caverns, with no crafts, laws, or general society to speak of. Arimaspoi are fond of human flesh however, a necessity given their lack of farming skills. When they are not gobbling down humans, Arimaspoi tend goats.

Poseidon first birthed Arimaspoi, so they worship him on occasion, but only when the thought strikes them to worship anybody at all.

Always Hungry

Arimaspoi have poor relations with just about everyone, given their cannibalistic habits. Arimaspoi respect strength and can appreciate any creature larger than then they.

Conversely, they have difficulty understanding the pastoral life and gravitate towards barbarian tribes that emphasize warfare over farming. They have been known to fall in love with nymphs.

Arimaspoi will occasionally leave their island to seek adventure. It is most likely hunger drives them off the island in search of food, which eventually finds them in other, less primitive lands. If the arimaspoi survives his first encounter, he is likely to join a military organization where his prodigious strength can be put to good use.
