Card

Cards are a strange, highly political people. Their torsos are formed from giant playing cards. They can flatten out the rest of their bodies, allowing them to slip through cracks and fold themselves into unique shapes. They weigh next to nothing, which is problematic in high winds.

Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice other than Constitution or Strength increases by 1.

Age. Like humans, cards mature by about age 20. They typically live less than a century.

Alignment. Cards live in a society governed by social rank and military regimentation, and so many of them are lawful. The constant warfare among the houses of cards allows for mercy and cruelty in turn, lending most cards a neutral outlook rather than good or evil.

Rarity. Rare.

Size. Cards are human-sized, but most weigh little more than a fifth of what a human of the same height would. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Featherweight. You have resistance to damage from falling.

Flatten. You can move through the space of another creature. In addition, you can move through an opening as narrow as 1 inch, provided the opening can accommodate your height.

Regimented Mind. Each time an effect forces you to behave in a way you wouldn’t normally behave, you receive another saving throw against that effect. If the saving throw succeeds, the effect’s duration doesn’t change, but you behave normally rather than abnormally.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common.
