Cityzen

Cityzens are human-sized construct-like beings that appear to be made of a shiny, plastic-like material. Though they are constructs, they appear to have evolved naturally in their realm. They have the ability to separate certain parts of their bodies and control them as if still connected.

Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by l.

Age. Cityzens are always adults. They don’t appear to age.

Alignment. Cityzens are productive members of society who see no value in questioning the status quo. They are naive and typically lawful good.

Rarity. Unknown.

Size. All cityzens are the same height, with minor differences based on head accessories. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Builder. You have proficiency with one set of artisan’s tools. Once you attain 11th level, you can cast fabricate once per day.

Disassemble. Using your action, you can break into your constituent parts (hair, head, torso, hands, and lower body), causing everything you’re wearing and carrying to transform with you. This form lasts while you focus on it, as if you are concentrating on a spell. You have a base walking speed of 10 feet, and you can enter and occupy the space of another creature. Other creatures can enter and occupy your space, which is difficult terrain. You can move through spaces small enough to admit a Tiny creature without squeezing.

In this form, you can’t manipulate objects, attack, or cast spells, and objects that transformed with you can’t be interacted with. You can use this ability again only after you finish a long rest.

Living Construct. You are a humanoid, but your constructed nature gives you the following traits.

  • You are immune to disease and have resistance to poison damage. Also, you can add your proficiency bonus to saving throws against being poisoned. If you have proficiency in such a saving throw, your proficiency bonus is doubled against being poisoned.
  • You need not eat, drink, or breathe .
  • You need not sleep, and you don’t suffer the effects of exhaustion from lack of rest. Magic can’t put you to sleep. During a long rest, which you still need, you remain conscious and aware.

Plastic. You are vulnerable to fire damage.

Separate Head. Your head is supernaturally connected to your body, but the two can function fine when separated by up to 150 feet. While they are farther apart, you lose 5 hit points at the end of each of your turns. This ability has several other features.

  • Your body and head share your hit points as if still one unit.
  • If your head can sense something, your body can. If your body can feel something, your head can. Otherwise, without your head, your body is blinded and automatically fails any ability check that requires sight, hearing, smell, or taste.
  • If your body or head can breathe, both can.
  • Without your body, your head is prone and can’t stand up. Your head can crawl (roll), but each foot of movement costs it 4 extra feet.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Whimsy.
