Faceless were once humans who willingly gave up their soul’s true name, in a Fae ritual to gain anonymity among mortal races and the ability to alter the memories of those around them. They do this to serve the Men in Black, an organization that regulates and monitors alien and Fae activity on Genesis. The Men in Black were founded by a group of angels, seelie, and space elves to protect Genesis and its moons from malicious forces that exist outside the planet’s Firmament.


Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 2.

Age. The faceless are adults. They don’t age.

Alignment. Faceless work to preserve the natural and celestial order, working against corruption and chaos. They are lawful neutral.

Rarity. Legendary. Few claim to have seen the faceless, and fewer still are believed.

Size. Faceless are humanlike, but on the tall and slender side. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness within the same range as if it were dim light. Absent even dim light, this vision is monochromatic.

Faceless Magic. You can cast the friends cantrip without material components, and once you attain 5th level, your target doesn’t remember you used magic on it if you worked your influence only to explain away mysterious Fae or alien forces or otherwise for the target’s benefit. You can cast disguise self at will, and the duration of this effect on you is 8 hours. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Forgetting Flash. With a flash of light, you cause a target within 30 feet of you and able to see you forget a number of concurrent minutes of memory equal to your level, provided the memories in question occurred within a number of minutes equal to 10 times your level. A target who cannot be charmed or who succeeds at a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Intelligence modifier + your proficiency bonus) resists this effect and cannot be affected by it again for 24 hours. If the GM determines your use of this ability protects the target or others, making the target forget something they might wish to forget, the target has disadvantage on the saving throw. If you use this ability frivolously or for personal gain, however, the target has advantage on the saving throw.

Furtive Investigator. You have proficiency in the Investigation and Stealth skills.

Heritage (Celestial). You are humanoid, but you are considered to be a celestial whenever it is detrimental for you.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common, Fae, and Alien.
