Goblin

Goblins are scatterbrained but highly social creatures, often considered pests due to their love of pranks and mischief-making. Despite their reputation, many are highly intelligent. Like gnomes and furbolds, goblins invent unique devices that often malfunction or explode.

Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.

Age. Goblins age much like humans do but rarely live more than 60 years.

Alignment. Although greedier and, at times, meaner, goblins have been compared to gnomes for the personality traits the two species share. These include curiosity, enthusiasm, and a love of humor. Goblins also have a mercantile code that encourages them to seek payment for what they do, making the best deal possible. Most goblins are neutral with some lawful tendencies.

Rarity. Common. The mercantile and adventurous goblins are seen regularly.

Size. Goblins are 3 to 4 feet tall and, often being thin, weigh 40 pounds. Your size is Small.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness within the same range as if it were dim light. Absent even dim light, this vision is monochromatic.

Goblin Inspiration. Whenever you use an inspiration die to grant yourself advantage and fail, you can reroll one d20 and take that result.

Goblin Training. You have proficiency in the Stealth skill, as well as with one set of artisan’s tools and one game.

Nimble Escape. You can use a bonus action to take the Disengage or Hide action.

Trader’s Guile. Goblins place a high value on winning negotiations, so they learn to do so from an early age. You have proficiency in two skills from among Deception, Insight, and Persuasion.

Tinker’s Lore. You add your proficiency bonus to any Intelligence (History and Investigation) and Wisdom (Perception) check when spotting or identifying alchemical items, magic items, technology, and unusual devices, including traps. If you have proficiency in the aforementioned skills, your proficiency bonus is doubled for these purposes.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Goblin. Goblins often learn to speak Gnomish and Technobabble as well.
