Ha Taln

Ha Taln are the spawn of an insectoid Olden One. Born in the Void, the infernal home of their patron and its eldritch kin, Ha Taln have clawed their way through Hell to make their way to the Mortal Plane. These terrifying creatures feed on infernal and celestial beings. They can subsist on demons, devils, and angels, but they can also consume gods, even in their otherworldly forms, making them some of the most dangerous creatures in all Creation. They can move their colonies as they migrate, making them difficult to eradicate.

Age. Ha Taln larvae can mature into adults in a little under a day. Ha Taln live just under 10 years.

Alignment. Ha Taln wish to feast on the gods of the world. They are chaotic evil.

Rarity. Rare.

Size. Ha Taln are generally 7 feet tall and weigh 300 to 360 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness within the same range as if it were dim light. Absent even dim light, this vision is monochromatic.

Divine Fodder. If you spend a short rest consuming the remains of a celestial or fiendish creature, you gain 2 temporary hit points per level you have. These temporary hit points disappear after you finish another short or long rest.

Four Arms. You have four arms and hands, and you can hold a corresponding number of items at the ready. Although these extra limbs allow you to wield more weapons, they don’t allow you to make more attacks than you might while wielding only two weapons.

Natural Weapons. You have natural weapons that allow your unarmed strikes to deal ld3 piercing damage (bite) or slashing damage (claws). Your natural weapons have the light and finesse properties, and you have proficiency with them.

Weak Wings. You have wings, but they aren’t yet strong enough to grant you full flight. Provided you have space double what you require (usually 10 feet), you can flap your wings to jump as if you had a 10-foot running start. If you can do so and have a 10-foot start, double the distance you jump. When you fall, provided you have double your space to open them, you can use your wings to slow your fall to 60 feet per round, taking no damage from falling. Also, for every 10 feet you fall, you can move 10 feet horizontally. Each foot you move horizontally this way counts as 1 foot of movement. You have access to the Improved Wings and Strong Wings feats (see Appendix A).

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common, Sect, and Void.
