Icari

Icari are fallen angels who have been exiled from Heaven and had their wings taken from them. They bear eternally weeping wounds where their wings were rent off. Without Heaven’s presence, the Icari feel pained and empty. Due to this they resent other mortals, especially humans.

Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Age. All icari are adults. They do not age.

Alignment. The background of the icari necessarily means most of them are selfish (neutral or chaotic) and evil. However, some have chosen to work for a better world and might not be as wicked as their typical kin.

Rarity. Legendary.

Size. Icari are humanlike in build. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Demonic Sight. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness within the same range as if it were dim light. Absent even dim light, this vision is monochromatic. In addition, magical darkness does not impede your darkvision.

Celestial Resilience. You have resistance to necrotic damage, poison damage, and radiant damage. In addition, you can add your proficiency bonus to saving throws against such damage and against being poisoned. If you have proficiency in such a check or saving throw, your proficiency bonus is doubled for these purposes.

Fallen Magic. You know the light and thaumaturgy cantrips. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast detect evil and good. Upon attaining 5th level, you can cast darkness once per day and you regain the ability to cast detect evil and good each time you finish a short or long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells, and you need no material components for them.

Fallen Touch. You have a pool of power points equal to your level x 5. Using your action, you can expend up to 5 points per level you have to heal or harm. If you choose to heal, each point you expend restores 1 hit point to a creature you touch. When you choose to harm, you must make a melee attack, dealing your target 1 force damage for each point you expend on a hit. If you miss, you still lose the points you expended. You make this melee attack with your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice) + your proficiency bonus.

Heritage (Celestial, Fiend). You are humanoid, but you are considered to be a celestial and a fiend whenever it is detrimental for you.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Celestial. Many icari learn Infernal as well.
