Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Age. Khepri have an accelerated aging process, reaching adulthood in two weeks. They can live several thousand years, but much of this time is spent in hibernation. Khepri are awake for just under 70 years total.

Alignment. Khepri were originally servants of the Olden Ones. Most are neutral evil.

Rarity. Rare. Khepri are more likely encountered by adventurers as enemies in subterranean settings.

Size. Khepri stand between 6 and 7 feet tall and weigh around 240 to 270 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. You have a burrowing speed of 5 feet, but you can do so only in loose soil and sand. You leave no tunnel.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness within the same range as if it were dim light. Absent even dim light, this vision is monochromatic.

Carapace. Your chitin gives you additional protection from damage. At 1st level, your hit point maximum increases by I, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level thereafter.

Drone. You can use your action to buzz at a frequency that distracts creatures of your choice within 30 feet of and able to hear you. Your targets must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus), but they have advantage on this saving throw if you or your companions are fighting them. Targets also enjoy any benefits they have against being charmed to resist this effect. On a failed save, a target has disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to perceive any creature other than you until you cease using an action on each of your turns to maintain the drone or the target can no longer hear you.

Mighty. Calculate your carrying capacity and the weight you can drag, push, and lift as if you were Large.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Sect. Depending on your origin, you might also speak, read, and write Sandscript or Deep Common.
