Lost Child

Lost children are human kids who have refused to grow up, becoming ageless. Magical rituals, both purposeful and accidental, can cause this effect, as can the unique properties of different realms.

Regardless of their chronological age, they still act like children. They form their own semitribal societies hidden from the adult world.

Traits

Age. Lost children age as humans until they reject aging between ages 5 through 10, when they become ageless. Lost children have the mental maturity of their physical age (sorry, anime fans).

Alignment. Lost children act in accordance with their current mood, making them chaotic neutral.

Rarity. Rare.

Size. You are the size of a human child appropriate for their age. Your size is Small.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Boundless Energy. You can add your proficiency bonus to saving throws against any effect or situation that causes you to gain exhaustion. If you have proficiency in such a saving throw, your proficiency bonus is doubled for these purposes.

Kid’s Canny. You have proficiency in the Insight skill and one gaming set.

Powerful Imagination. You know the prestidigitation cantrip. Choose your spellcasting ability from among Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma.

Wakeful. For you, 4 hours of sleep is as good as 8 is for other humans.

Languages. You speak Common. You may also know how to read and write Common, but that depends on whether you learned to do so before you stopped aging.
