Ratfolk have the following racial traits.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.

Age. Ratfolk can live from about 40 to 60 years after they are born.

Alignment. Ratfolk are creatures of extremes. They tend towards both Law and Chaos in even amounts depending on which sky-city they are from (those from Hydra lean towards Chaos, those from Dragon and Phoenix lean towards Law) and though most ratfolk are Good aligned, there are a few ratfolk who are Evil.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Undercommon.

Size. Most ratfolk are between 3 and 4 feet tall and weigh anywhere from 20 to 40 lbs. Your size is Small.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Explosives Crafts. You gain the ability to create explosives. As an action, you can quickly construct an explosive, infuse it with a bit of magic to ignite it, and throw it at a creature within 30 feet. The creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 fire and 1d6 thunder damage, or half as much on a successful save. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Intelligence modifier + your proficiency bonus. The damage increases to 2d6 fire and 1d6 thunder at 6th level, 2d6 fire and 2d6 thunder at 11th level, and 3d6 fire and 2d6 thunder at 16th level. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 1). You must complete a long rest to reset the uses of this ability.

Scent. When you are within 30 feet of a creature, you automatically roll a Wisdom (Perception) ability check with advantage to detect it.
