Siren

Sirens are winged female humanoids with bird-like claws for legs and a pair of feathery wings jutting from their backs. They are the daughters of Thaumas and the oceanid Electra.

The Center of Attention

Sirens enjoy the company of men and actively court their attention. They are intrigued by those immune to their magical charms. They tend to be self-absorbed but crave attention.

Sirens like to entrance hapless travelers with their magical songs and lead them to unspeakable torments.

Only when a siren has finished playing with its new “toys” will it release them from suffering by killing and consuming them.

Sirens rely almost exclusively on their magical abilities and are thus a parasitic society, using scores of slaves to do their bidding. They are unaccustomed to having to work for a living and they regularly consume weaker slaves who are no longer of any value.

An Unfinished Task

Sirens worship Poseidon as the father of the sea, an area with which they are intimately accustomed in their role as tempters of sailors.

Sirens were originally tasked with the return of Persephone, and some still wander the lands in search of her. They seek to accumulate knowledge of entering Hades and enough power to defeat any guardians found within.
