Spiral

Spirals are squid-like beings who manifest as vestigial organs inside newborn humans instead of reincarnating. They are psychically linked to their human hosts and grow up with them. When the human dies, the spiral “hatches” from the corpse.

Spirals honor their hosts by carrying on their legacy, all while learning to live in a world they’ve seen only through the eyes of another. They retain the memories of their past lives.

Nine Tentacles. You have nine grasping tentacles, among others that cannot grasp with equal power and agility, and you can hold a corresponding number of items at the ready. Also, creatures one size larger than you don’t automatically succeed on checks to escape your grapple. Although your extra limbs allow you to wield more weapons, they don’t allow you to make more attacks than you might while wielding only two weapons.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Aquatic. You can choose one other language in which you have similar fluency, depending on the background of your former host.
