Squirrelfolk

Squirrelfolk are native to forests. They are nimble and athletic, spending their time in the branches above the forest floor. They love to hoard and stockpile food, using their cheek pouches to carry edibles as well as other items when they travel. Though they are mammals, they hatch from acorns laid by the females like eggs. They are easily startled, constantly afraid of natural predators. When adventuring, squirrelfolk are commonly assigned as scouts, if only to give their fellow adventurers a break from their energetic personalities.
