Trolls are physically strong but usually peaceful, becoming violent only when they, their kin, or their territories are threatened. They possess an uncanny sense of smell that can even discern someone’s religion. When they die they turn to stone.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength Score Increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.

Age. A troll matures as quickly as a human but can live for nearly three centuries.

Alignment. Trolls lend a hand to the best of their abilities. Like other decent folks, they try to be and prefer to live with good neighbors. Most trolls are neutral good.

Rarity. Common.

Size. A troll stands about 7 feet tall and weighs over 320 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness within the same range as if it were dim light. Absent even dim light, this vision is monochromatic.

Heritage (Giant). You are a humanoid, but you are considered to be a giant whenever it is detrimental for you.

Horns. You have curved horns, and so your unarmed strikes can deal ld6 bludgeoning damage. Your horns have the light and finesse weapon properties, and you have proficiency with them.

Mighty. Calculate your carrying capacity and the weight you can drag, push, and lift as if you were Large.

Rocky Toughness. At 1st level, your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level thereafter.

Smell Religion. Using your action, you can tell if a creature within 30 feet of you is strongly aligned with a particular religion or mighty supernatural being, but not what that connection is. Most regular people, even if quite pious, fail to set off this sense, but fiends, celestials, clerics, paladins, and warlocks do. For instance, you could smell a paladin due to their oath, but you wouldn’t know they are a paladin, what the oath is, or what deity they worship.

Stony Death. When you die, you turn to stone, and so your corpse weighs five times your normal weight.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and the Troll dialect of Goblin. Some trolls learn Gutteral.
