Zargon

Zargons are alien warriors feared for their love of battle and military prowess. They live to wage war and dream of dying in combat. Despite this, zargons are deathly afraid of mice and other small rodents.

Traits

Ability Score Increase. Two different ability scores of your choice increase by 1.

Age. Zargons age like humans.

Alignment. Zargons are militaristic with a strict social hierarchy based on military prowess and inherited power. They esteem warrior ideals, such as courage, honor, and sacrifice for fellows. True benevolence has no part in these traditional virtues, and zargons are merciless in battle. Zargons are lawful neutral or lawful evil.

Rarity. Uncommon.

Size. Zargons are as varied as humans. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Driven. A zargon pushes to perform when observed by allies or superiors, especially when success is important. You can grant yourself advantage on an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw. If the affected roll succeeds, you can use this ability again only after you finish a short or long rest.

Lethal Precision. When you score a critical hit with an attack, you can roll one of the attack’s damage dice an additional time. Add the result to the extra damage of the critical hit.

Military Training. You have proficiency with two simple or martial weapons or with one weapon and shields, as well as light armor.

Murophobia. If you see a rodent or rodent-like creature, you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 10 + the CR of the creature) or become frightened of the creature. You can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of your turns, ending the frightened condition on yourself on a success.

Languages. You speak, read, and write Common and Alien, as well as the unique Zargon language.
