Acid Storm

4th-level evocation

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Components: V, S, M
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

You create a storm of gelatinous acid rain that covers a 10-foot-radius circle centered on a point within range. All creatures within the area are coated in corrosive acid. The acid can be neutralized by vinegar, wine, or a successful dispel magic.

The acid storm becomes more damaging as time goes on. A creature that starts its turn within the area or enters the area for the first time on its turn must make a Constitution saving throw. On the first round, a creature that fails takes 1d4 acid damage, 1d6 acid damage on the second round, and 2d8 acid damage on the third and subsequent rounds. A creature that succeeds on its saving throw takes half this damage. If the target uses an action to cleanse itself of the acid, the progression begins again.
