Cage of Sacred Silver

5th-level transmutation

Classes: cleric, paladin

Casting Time:1 action

Components:V, S

Duration:Concentration, up to 1 minute

You attempt to leach out the impure taint within a fiend or undead using the purity of holy silver. If the target succeeds on a Constitution saving throw, its Dexterity is reduced by 1d4 and the spell ends. If the target fails its Constitution saving throw, its Dexterity and Constitution are reduced by 1d4 and it is paralyzed as its flesh begins transforming into gleaming silver. The target can take purely mental actions, but the sanctified jade encasing it prevents it from using teleportation effects such as from a teleport or plane shift spell.

Each round you maintain concentration, the target must save again. A successful save deals Dexterity damage as noted above but ends the effect. A failed save results in continuing paralysis and Dexterity and Constitution drain. If the target’s Dexterity or Constitution is reduced to 0, the creature is petrified, its evil encysted in a solid statue of pitted, discolored, and valueless silver. This spell affects undead, even if they are normally immune to paralysis or petrification.
