Create Armored Vehicle

5th-level conjuration

Casting Time: 10 minutes

Range: touch

Components: V, S, M (see description)

Duration: 24 hours

Exactly what you need to ride into the heart of danger.

When you cast this spell, touch a box, crate, storage container, or similar object of size Huge or larger. The object morphs into an armored vehicle that can carry up to eight people on benches in a 20-foot-long, 15-foot-wide cargo space, with a cab that can carry two more. The size of the cargo space is fixed, regardless of the size of the original container. This spell creates nothing in the cargo space apart from benches for the characters to sit on. Any other physical details desired by the caster, such as slits for seeing outside, must be made part of the original container.

The vehicle needs no outside fuel source. It has a maximum movement speed of 400 feet (45 mph), AC 18, 150 HP, and resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from normal weapons. It has no weapons of its own, but if its movement takes it into a target, it can ram that target for 4d6 damage when traveling at or below 200 feet per round (approximately 23 mph) and 8d6 damage if traveling at a higher speed. If the target is a creature, it can make a Dexterity save against the spell DC of the vehicle’s creator. If the creature fails the save, it takes full damage and is knocked prone; on a success, it evades the truck and takes no damage. If the target is a stationary object, it takes double damage from the ram (no save), and the vehicle takes the same amount of damage.

The spell ends after twenty-four hours or when the vehicle loses all its hit points. If the spell ends due to damage, the container collapses into small, useless fragments.
