Echo

1st-level illusion

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 30 feet

Components: S, M (a seashell)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Classes: bard, druid, ranger, warlock

You cause a sound that was heard within 30 feet of you and lasting up to 1 round in duration to repeat at a regular interval. The sound need not have originated within 30 feet, but it must have been audible within that range, and when it repeats the echo is at the full volume of the original sound at its source.

Any special effects of the sound, such as verbal spellcasting, magical command words, and the like, are not duplicated by the echo; just the sounds themselves.

Each round that you concentrate, you can change alter the echo as either a bonus action or a reaction. You can change the echo to a different sound, move its apparent point of origin, or make a sudden sound as a distraction to help you or someone else hide. Make a Charisma (Deception) check as a bonus action at the same time that you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check (or as a reaction when an ally does so). If the result of your Charisma (Deception) check exceeds the passive Perception of enemies within 30 feet, you or your ally gains advantage on the Dexterity (Stealth) check.
