3rd-level transmutation

Casting Time:1 action

Range:30 feet

Components:V, S

Duration:Concentration, up to 1 minute

Classes: druid, sorcerer, warlock, wizard

You mark a willing ally with a flaming rune. This rune does not cause damage and sheds light as a torch. Any melee or ranged weapon your ally uses adds 1d6 fire damage to any other damage it deals (including other fire damage); this does not affect spell damage.

In addition, while concentrating on the firebrand, you can maintain that concentration while casting another spell, as long as that spell deals fire damage. Your ally with the firebrand is immune to the fire damage from spells you cast in this way, though not to other sources of fire damage.

As an action, your ally can end the firebrand spell in order to cast the fire bolt cantrip, using their own level to determine the damage their fire bolt does.

At Higher Levels: When you use this cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can affect one additional willing ally. Concentrating on the spell maintains its effects for all allies. If an ally ends their firebrand in order to cast fire bolt, that ends the spell only for them, not for other creatures.
