Grim Shadows

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Sharp, spear-like shadows fill a 15-foot square of ground that you can see within range. For the duration, these shadows obscure creatures within the area, giving them half cover.

When a creature enters the affected area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, the creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 piercing damage and be blinded until the spell ends.

A creature that starts its turn in the area and is already blinded takes 1d8 piercing damage.

A creature blinded by grim shadows can use its action to make a Dexterity or Wisdom saving throw (its choice) against your spell save DC. On a success, its sight returns.
