Howling Fog

4th-level evocation

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: self (60-foot cone)

Components: V, S, M (wolf pelt)

Duration: up to 1 minute

Classes: druid, ranger

You emit an ear-splitting howl that unleashes a fog that deafens and damages creatures in its path.

Any creature within the area must make a Constitution saving throw or be deafened for the duration and takes 22 (5d8) points of thunder damage. A creature that makes its saving throw is not deafened and takes half damage. At the end of each of its turns, a deafened creature can make a Constitution saving throw. On a success, the effect ends. Additionally, the area is filled with fog. It lasts for the duration or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it. At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 and the cone’s area of effect increases by 5 feet for each slot level above 5th.

Note The material component for this spell includes a wolf’s pelt. The wolf’s pelt can be actually worn by the caster, but it must be taken from a canine (defined above) equal in Hit Dice to the caster’s level. Being a lycan in lupocephalus form also counts as “wearing” a wolf’s pelt.
