Casting Time 1 action

Range 30 feet

Components V S

Duration Concentration up to 1 minute

You perform gestures and make sounds or words that fascinate nearby creatures, causing them to stare blankly at you. On a failed save, the creature becomes charmed for the duration. While charmed by this spell, the creature is incapacitated and has a speed of 0.

The rapt attention also allows you to make plausible suggestions to the target. Roll 2d4 to see the total amount of levels worth of creatures you can affect. Creatures with lower levels are affected before those of higher levels. The creatures are not affected if their level exceeds your own.

If you attempt to use this spell in combat the creature gains advantage on their saving throw. If the spell is used on a single target not in combat the target takes disadvantage on the saving throw. A creature that fails their saving throw does not remember a spell was cast upon them. Their attitude is considered friendly in regards to the request you give them while under the hypnosis. The request must be reasonable and not be against the target’s alignment or safety.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd or higher, you may affect an additional 2d4 HD of creatures or 1 additional request of the target(s) per spell level.
