Miniature Hurricane

3rd-level evocation

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 60 feet

Components: V, S, M (a stone submerged in a jar of seawater)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

You conjure a miniature hurricane on a point you can see within range. The hurricane forms in a 40-foot-tall cylinder with a 20-foot-radius centered on that point.

When a creature enters the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it is buffeted by rain, ice pellets, and roaring wind and must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d6 cold damage, and its speed is halved until it leaves the hurricane. On a successful save, a creature takes half the damage, and its speed isn’t reduced.

Until the spell ends, the hurricane moves up to 20 feet in a random direction at the start of each of your turns. To determine the direction, roll a d8 and assign a direction to each die face.
