Mirage

3rd-level illusion (ritual)

Casting Time: 10 minutes

Range: 500 feet

Components: V, S, M (a pinch of sand and a drop of water)

Duration: 8 hours

Classes: bard, druid, ranger

You create an image of a pool of water, a group of standing stones, a cove, an island, or another simple land formation over an area of relatively flat ground or water. The image fills a 60-foot-radius cylinder, 30 feet high. It is purely visual and does not hide any creatures, objects, or structures in the area, though it does hide waves, natural vegetation, and the like within 5 feet of the surface.

A creature examining the area of the mirage from closer than 100 feet can attempt a Wisdom (Survival) check against you spell DC. On a successful check, they realize that the mirage is an illusion.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can increase the duration: to 24 hours with a spell slot one level higher; to 1 week if two levels higher; and to 1 year if three levels higher.
