Moonstruck

5th-level enchantment

Casting Time:1 action
Range:90 feet
Components:V, S, M (a pinch of powdered moonstone)
Duration:Concentration, up to 1 minute
Classes: druid, sorcerer, warlock

You invoke the mystical power of the moon to drive the target into a mad, bestial frenzy.

If the target fails a Wisdom saving throw, it is incapacitated for 1 round, dropping held items as its nails and teeth elongate and sharpen and it takes on a crazed, bestial appearance. The target gains proficiency with its claw attack (dealing 1d4 slashing damage) and bite attack (dealing 1d6 piercing damage) and gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with those weapons and can take the following action:

Multiattack. The moonstruck creature makes one bite attack and one claw attack. Each round on its turn after the first, the target rolls 1d4 and behaves as noted below:

d4 Behavior
1 The creature can act normally, including casting spells, but it cannot maintain concentration.
2 The creature howls and shrieks incoherently, moving 1d4 squares in a random direction but taking no other actions.
3 The creature tears at its own flesh, automatically hitting with its claw and bite attack.
4 The creature uses its Multiattack action to attack a randomly determined creature that it can reach on its turn.

After any round in which the target acts normally, it can attempt a new Wisdom saving throw at the end of its turn to end the spell. When the moonstruck spell ends, the creature’s body and proficiencies return to normal. However, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or gain 1 level of exhaustion.
