You create a surging ball of acid the size of your fist that you can hurl at a creature within range as a ranged spell attack. If you hit, the target takes 8d6 acid damage, or half as much on a successful Constitution saving throw. In addition, a creature failing its save is poisoned for 1 round by the noxious fumes.

Creatures within 5 feet of the target take 4d6 acid damage, or half as much on a successful Dexterity saving throw.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 2d6 for each slot level above 4th.
