Just before death, you place your soul into a nearby doll.

Brilliant first time you would drop to 0 hit points as a result of taking damage, your soul leaves your body and enters a doll within 100 feet. You can attempt to possess any Small or smaller construct within 100 feet of you that you can see (creatures warded by a protection from evil and good or magic circle spell can’t be possessed). The target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failure, your soul moves into the construct’s body. On a success, the construct resists your efforts to possess it, and you can’t attempt to possess it again for 24 hours. Your soul remains free roaming for a number rounds equal to Wisdom modifier, during which time you can attempt to possess additional constructs within 100 feet. If you do not possess a construct by that time, you die. Once you possess a construct’s body, you control it. Your game statistics are of a construct determined by its size. A Tiny construct has 20 hit points, an AC 18, a Dexterity of 18, a Strength of 4, a Constitution of 10. It inflicts 1d4 + 4 damage on a melee attack. A Medium construct has 25 hit points, an AC 16, a Dexterity of 14, a Strength of 6, a Constitution of 10. It inflicts 1d8 + 2 damage on a melee attack. All dolls have a speed of 25 feet and blindsight with a radius of 30 feet (blind beyond that distance). You retain your alignment and your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. You retain the benefit of your own class features. If the target has any class levels, you can’t use any of its class features. If the construct is destroyed or the spell ends, you must make a Charisma saving throw against your own spellcasting DC. On a success, you return to a free-floating invisible spirit as above. Otherwise, you die.

At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the duration is 24 hours. If you use a 9th level spell slot, the spell lasts until it is dispelled. Using a spell slot of 6th level or higher grants a duration that doesn’t require concentration.
