You begin performing an emotionally powerful song through your spellcasting focus that slowly increases in intensity. You cannot cast another spell through your spellcasting focus while concentrating on this spell.

Until the spell ends, you can use an action to make a ranged spell attack and strike a chord to send powerful sound waves at a target within range. On a hit, a target takes a number of d8 in thunder damage equal to the number of rounds you have maintained concentration on this spell (including the turn you cast it).

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you deal an additional 1d8 thunder damage for each slot level above 2nd.
