Seasonal Ward

3rd-level abjuration

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: Touch

Components: V, S, M (a seed or flower petal)

Duration: 8 hours

Classes: cleric, druid, ranger, warlock

You touch a willing creature to grant them a mantle of protection imbued with the spirit of the seasons. You must select one type of seasonal ward when you cast the spell. You can alter the type of seasonal ward as an action by touching the target; the new seasonal ward replaces the previous one and the spell’s remaining duration is reduced by 1 hour.

Spring: The target is garlanded with flowering vines crowned with blossoms wreathing their head.

This reduces any necrotic damage they take by 5 points and has advantage on death saving throws, and when at 0 hit points if they succeed on a death saving throw the target can choose to reduce the remaining duration of the spell by 1 hour in order to regain consciousness at 1 hit point.

Summer: The target is surrounded by tiny motes of warm light, which reduce any cold damage they take by 5 points and shed light within 10 feet. The target’s speed is increased by 10 feet, and they can reduce the remaining duration of the spell by 1 hour in order to Dash as a bonus action (or increase the speed they can Dash by 30 feet, if already able to Dash as a bonus action).

Autumn: A cloak of multicolored autumn leaves wraps around the target, granting them a +1 bonus on Constitution saving throws and reducing any poison damage they take by 5 points. In addition, the target can reduce the remaining duration of the spell by 1 hour in order to gain advantage on a saving throw against a poison or disease.

Winter: A flurry of light snow and crisp, cold air surrounds the target, reducing any fire damage they take by 5 points.

They have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks or Dexterity saving throws to avoid falling prone or being knocked prone. In addition, the target can reduce the remaining duration of the spell by 1 hour in order to be able to see without impairment through snow, mist, rain, or fog and to move normally through difficult terrain for 1 round.
