Silencing Gaze

1st-level enchantment

Casting Time:1 action

Range:60 feet

Components:S, M (wolf’s pelt)

Duration:Concentration, up to 1 minute

Classes: Druid, Ranger

Wolves are known for their ability to silence prey with a glance. By casting this spell, you receive a gaze attack that causes all who look upon you to be struck dumb.

For the spell’s duration, your eyes flash with unholy brilliance for those who meet your gaze. One creature of your choice within 60 feet of you that you can see must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be struck dumb for the duration. Conversation is impossible, spells with verbal components cannot be cast, and no noise whatsoever issues from the creature’s mouth, although it can make noises without using its voice. On each of your turns until the spell ends, you can use your action to target another creature but can’t target a creature again if it has succeeded on a saving throw against this casting of silencing gaze. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Charisma saving throw. On a success, the effect ends.

Note The material component for this spell includes a wolf’s pelt. The wolf’s pelt can be actually worn by the caster, but it must be taken from a canine (defined above) equal in Hit Dice to the caster’s level. Being a lycan in lupocephalus form also counts as “wearing” a wolf’s pelt.
