Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Classes: cleric, sorcerer, warlock, wizard

You target one living creature within range and it gains 1 level of exhaustion on a failed Constitution saving throw each round as its skin loosens and splits. Once it has taken 5 levels of exhaustion in this way, its skin falls off to reveal its musculature.

The creature ceases taking exhaustion levels but has disadvantage on physical based saving throws (Str, Con, Dex), pain effects (GM’s discretion), or poison damage. The target automatically fails any Charisma based checks with the exception of Intimidate. The creature’s skin regrows rapidly — once its exhaustion levels are fully healed, its skin becomes intact once again and the penalties end.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the number of targets increases by 1 per spell slot used. If cast as a 9th-level spell the concentration requirement is removed.
