Solar Shroud

4th-level evocation

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: Touch

Components: V, S, M (a piece of sunlight-infused crystal)

Duration: 1 round/level

Classes: cleric, paladin

You enshroud the target in a brilliant halo of radiance, creating an aura of daylight centered on them. Undead and evil creatures within this aura have disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws against your spells and abilities.

Additionally, you gain damage resistance against attacks made by these creatures. This damage resistance applies even against spells and abilities that deal hit point damage, as long as they are delivered by a melee attack.

Furthermore, when the target of the spell is struck by a melee attack from an undead or evil creature, it can use its reaction to release a burst of holy radiance. This burst causes 1d6 fire damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level, the duration lasts an additional round.
