The target of the spell is struck with a profound sense of hopelessness. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be demoralized and have their speed halved for the duration of the spell. The demoralized creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 2nd.

The creatures must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
