By means of this spell a dwarven cleric imbues an existing carved stone mouth with the ability to either speak a message or cast a spell.

  • Message: The mouth may speak a message up to 21 words long. The message is always spoken in dwarvish. The number of times the message repeats is the purview of the caster, but not longer than 1 minute. The lips of the stone mouth, on a statue, wall, or archway, etc., will appear to move according to the words articulated. Stonemouth can be placed on constructs such as golems, but not on living creatures or flesh. The caster may choose the volume of the message uttered (whisper or booming voice, etc.).
  • Cast Spell: Immediately after casting the spell, a dwarven cleric may cast a second spell of 2nd level or lower which Stonemouth will discharge when specific conditions are met. Instructions must be detailed and include visual, audible, or tactile triggers. These could include: proximity, noise, words, or touch. Discharged spells might include Command, Healing Word, Guiding Bolt, Blindness/Deafness, Hold Person, Silence, Spiritual Weapon, Zone of Truth, etc. All discharged spells are cast as a 5th level caster.
