Maybe magic doesn’t like all this newfangled technology… maybe technology resents its high-falutin’ predecessor… Either way, you become a jinx to higher technology of all sorts.

For the duration of this spell, all electric technology within a 30-foot-radius sphere centered on you does not function.

How thoroughly a piece of technology is affected depends on how reliant it is on electricity. Cellphones and microwaves, for example, will shut down immediately. Purely mechanical objects are unaffected. Objects which use electricity but can function without it may be partially usable.

When an affected object leaves the area of effect, it works properly again (though anything that was shut down will need to be turned back on).
