Trapper’s Volley

Components:V, M (a silk thread wrapped around your weapon)

Duration:Concentration, up to 1 minute

Under your breath, you whispers words of the great hunt as you wrap a thread around your weapon. The next time you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, thorny brambles and vines rise from the ground around the target creature and it must make a Strength saving throw or be restrained until the spell ends. Small size creatures have disadvantage on the saving throw and creatures larger than Medium size have advantage on the saving throw. On its turn, a creature may use an action to attempt a Strength saving throw to escape the brambles. While restrained, the target takes 1d6 piercing damage at the start of each of its turns.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot above the first.
