Roll once for each group of creatures within 10 feet of one another or individual creature. When striking a group of creatures, roll randomly to determine which creature is hit. A creature that wishes to take the hit can make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw to interpose themselves between the target and the lightning bolt. A creature hit by a lightning bolt takes 35 (10d6) lightning damage and is deafened for 1 minute.
