Figurine of Wondrous Power, Teak Falcon

Wondrous item, rare

This figurine appears as a three-inch falcon carved in teak, its wings folded tightly.

As with other figurines of wondrous power, if you throw the statuette of the teak falcon to the ground in front of you and use an action to speak the command word, the falcon will activate. It is friendly to you and understands your languages.

The falcon’s stats are the same as a normal falcon or hawk. Add your proficiency bonus to its AC, attack rolls, and damage.

The falcon does not roll initiative to enter combat, but will automatically counterattack any creature who attacks you, whether the attack has damaged you or not. For the purpose of resistances, treat the falcon’s attack as a slashing magical weapon attack.

Once active, the falcon grants the following effects:

  • You can move through difficult forest or jungle terrain at your normal speed.
  • The attack range of all your ranged-weapons and spells is increased by 10 ft.

Creatures cannot benefit from concealment from you if they are visible to the falcon.

If the falcon reverts to 0 hit points, reaches its maximum time limit, or you speak the command word and touch the falcon, it will become a statuette again.

The falcon can be active for a limited number of hours, after which it must revert to its statuette form. For every hour the falcon is used, it must remain unused in its statuette form for a corresponding number of days. If you use the falcon for three hours, it will remain inert for three days.

If you use it for an hour or less, the recharge time is one day. It can never take less than a full day to recharge the teak falcon.
