Aegis

Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement)

The mythical shield wielded by Zeus and Athena. It is a silver, round shield with a golden Medusa head carved into it. While holding this shield, you have a +2 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield’s normal bonus to AC. Any time the holder is targeted by magic missile a line spell, or a spell that requires a ranged attack roll, they can use a reaction to roll a d6. On a 1 to 4, the holder is affected normally. On a 5 or 6, the holder is unaffected, and the spell is reflected back at the caster as though it originated from the holder, turning the caster into the target.

In addition, the holder of the shield can use its divine magic to ignite the flames of hope on the battlefield. Every creature they choose within 30 feet that can see the holder is freed from the frightened condition and gains 26 (4d12) temporary hit points.
