Acid Rain

4th-level conjuration

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 150 ft.

Components: V, S, M* (a vial of acid, which the spell consumes)

Duration: Concentration, up to 10 Minutes

You create a 30-foot radius, 20-ft tall cylinder of dark purple clouds 30 ft. above a point within range. Acidic rain begins falling from that cloud until the spell ends.

Any creature that enters the area under this cloud for the first time on a time or starts their turn there must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 4d6 acid damage on a failure, or half on a save.

Any creature wearing armor that takes damage from this spell three times, their armor class is decreased by 1. Each time they take damage from this spell after this initial decrease, their armor class is decreased by 1. This decrease in armor class can be repaired with a mending spell or on a successful check with an appropriate artisan’s tools (leatherworker’s tools for leather armor, smith’s tools for metal armor, etc.) during a short rest.

Any object in this area made of metal, stone, or wood takes damage from this spell each turn on initiative 20.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell at 5th level or higher, you increase the acid damage by 1d6 for every slot above 4th.
