d4 Effect
1 A Golden Dragon Wyrmling is summoned at a space within 5 ft. of you. The Golden Dragon Wyrmling is charmed and friendly to you for 1 hour. Roll initiative for the Golden Dragon Wyrmling, which has its own turns. It obeys any verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you.) If you don’t issue any commands to the wyrmling, it defends itself from hostile creatures but otherwise takes no actions. After the hour ends, the Wyrmling has not been killed, it is no longer charmed by you and its perception of you depends on how you treated it while charmed. Then it will fly away and begin its life. You can only use this option once. Once you’ve chosen this option, it is no longer an option for the Egg spell.
2 You can bring one creature that has died in the past hour back to life with 1 HP.
3 You can cause one creature within 30 feet of you to regain 100 HP.
4 You can have one creature within 30 feet of you to regain expended spell slots. The combined total of spell slots cannot exceed 3.

If you have ever cast this spell and rolled a 1 before, the next time you roll a 1, you reroll until you get a number other than a 1.

If the egg breaks before it hatches, nothing happens, and the effects of the spell are lost.

Alternatively when you cast this spell, you can attempt to force one creature to be sealed away in an egg. Target one creature within range.

That creature must succeed on a Charisma saving throw or it is sealed away in an egg indefinitely, or until the egg breaks open. This egg appears in your hand.

If a creature is sealed away in the egg, you cannot cast this spell again until the creature is released.
